Aviation Explorer Post 445 is hosted at AFI Flight Training Center located at the Fullerton Airport in Fullerton,CA

Aviation Exploring is a career based program for young men and women who are between 14 – 20 years of age.

Aviation Explorer posts help youth gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of aviation, exploring offers experimental learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth. Aviation Explorer posts also help youth attain their Career Achievement Award.

The Explorers recently toured the 10 Tanker operation. The operation that uses former commercial airliner DC-10's as firefighting tankers. What an amazing airplane. We also just returned from March ARB and toured the KC-135 and C-17 aircraft as well as the hangar facilities.

Post 445 is always on the look out for great youth as well as adult members to join the post. We've double the number of active members in the last year. We seem to be adding a couple new members every month, so come visit us at our next meeting or event.
